Late False Aneurysm Formation After Transfemoral TAVR.

چکیده
A n 82-year old women presented with a non– ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. She had undergone coronary bypass surgery 25 years earlier, and a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) 28 months previously. The TAVR procedure was reported to be complicated only by vascular access problems. Urgent coronary angiography at time of the current presentation showed stenosis in a saphenous vein graft to the obtuse marginal

Short Length of Stay After Elective Transfemoral Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement is Not Associated With Increased Early or Late Readmission Risk
BACKGROUND Elderly patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) are at risk of hospital readmission postprocedure. It is not known whether the index hospital length of stay and, specifically, early discharge post-TAVR is associated with an increased risk of readmission. We hypothesized a nonlinear relationship whereby both short and long lengths of stay were associated with...
متن کاملTransradial Neurointerventional Approach to Basilar Tip Aneurysm: Case Report and Technical Note
Cerebral angiography through transfemoral approach is preferred in most of the situation though in cardiovascular surgery transradial angiography is accounted as the superior standard. The present study aimed at presenting our early experience of transradial approach to cerebral angiography and intervention of a patient with basilar tip aneurysm that had inappropriate vasculature to perform rou...
متن کاملThe Athens TAVR Registry of newer generation transfemoral aortic valves: 30-day outcomes.
INTRODUCTION Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a documented treatment for patients with symptomatic aortic stenosis who are at very high or prohibitive operative risk. We sought to investigate the outcomes of transfemoral procedures with the newer generation valves in four TAVR centres in Athens, Greece. METHODS The ATHENS TAVR Registry included all patients who underwent trans...
متن کاملTranscatheter aortic valve replacement in membranous interventricular septum aneurysm with left ventricular outflow tract extension
We report a challenging case of a 81-year-old male with history of severe calcific aortic valve stenosis and aneurysmal membranous interventricular septum. The presence of anomalies in the sub-annular area can lead to valve malpositioning and its consequences. transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVR) in patients with aneurysm of the perimembranous interventricular septum extending into th...
متن کاملPeripheral Artery Disease and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Outcomes: A Report From the Society of Thoracic Surgeons/American College of Cardiology Transcatheter Therapy Registry.
BACKGROUND Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is associated with increased cardiovascular mortality, and PAD risk factors overlap with those for aortic stenosis. The prevalence and outcomes associated with PAD in a population undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) are unknown. METHODS AND RESULTS Using the Society of Thoracic Surgeons/Transcatheter Valve Therapy Registry linked...
